an up date

Monday

It was 32 + degrees and really hot, even out of the Sun and I can't imagine how Johnathon was coping even my temperature gauge in the car when off-piste and all-black dut to the extreme temperatures we had found a hotel using booking .com on the outskirts of Bologna so  having had a hearty meal we set off to find the Meditur hotel which was situated in its own grounds just outside of Bologna at Sans Lazzaro,  it had plenty of parking even for coaches and would made a welcome break for the three of us.

Johnathon arrived a surprisingly short time after us just at dusk, it was fascinating watching his progress on the google maps app, he can easily send us his location which updates every few seconds so we sat at the entrance to the hotel, in reality, expectant parents awaiting the child, after a very short time and synchronised to the blot on the phone he can into view cycling as if he had just been down the shops.

 Yesterday Tuesday we had a rest day and I drove firstly to Pisa and the Florence the drive down was quite hard I think I must have had the no toll roads app on and it took us on a stunningly beautiful but very undulating and bendy road
Pisa was beautiful and I will leave it to Elona to tell you more about it.

coming back I was able to find the motorway and despite the 16 euro charge made the journey less of a hardship and the 10 or so mile tunnel we went through compensated the cost
