nearing Macon
The expression on my face says it all, lots and lots of hills- long straight roads. Midday was horrible, the air was hot and stale and you worked up a sweat doing nothing.
Due to this being France, nothing is open 24/7 which makes buying food awkward as I'm sure being able to nip into Tesco day or night.
Today was hardest so far as well as I've been Cycling in the countryside, so there is a lack of shops. It wasn't until 5pm that I managed to buy food, and at this point, I was utterly drained.
I was hoping to get to Macon, however, fell about 20KM short, a deliberate decision as I don't want to be camping in a city centre.
